Dartmoor Chilli Farm Hot Strawberry Jam

To be honest, we were a bit dubious about having chilli and strawberries together, especially in something as sacred as strawberry jam!

Our first thought was: how does this jam compares to more famous brands, either local or commercial?

Well get your tasting spoons out of their drawers because this silky textured strawberry jam with pieces of fruit still in it, is just breathtaking.

The strawberries themselves are from Dartmoor chilli farm, a refreshing fact as most commercial produce are made with ingredients from all over the place therefore often losing their integrity.

As for the kick, well it’s definitely there. It takes a bit of time to show itself against the sweetness of the strawberries but the warmth that soon invades the back of the throat is just extraordinary.

At the first opportunity we baked ourselves some scones and had a proper afternoon tea!
